Who are we and what do we do?

VMG Technology is the tech investing arm of VMG Partners, a $3B AUM growth equity platform with a 20 year history of investing in the Consumer Ecosystem.

And all we do is invest in breakthrough technologies that drive Growth (MarTech, AdTech), Efficiency (Ops & Supply Chain, Payments), and Delight (Customer Experience, Merchandising, Loyalty) for that Ecosystem.

We invest at Series A through C, helping scale up early product-market-fit. We are in constant dialogue with brands and retailers to understand the pain points that matter, from the Fortune 1000 to the breakout brands within our own $1B consumer fund.

Said differently, if retail or brand digital product people started a venture fund, you’d get VMG Tech. Our passion for our domain means we get deep and nerdy.

Who are we hoping to meet?

Humans who are equally passionate about the Consumer Ecosystem, and the role tech plays in building exceptional brands and experiences.

Ideally, you’ve got

• 3-4 years of work experience across a blend of analytical (banking, consulting, FP&A, RevOps, data) and customer-facing startup roles
• High intellectual curiosity, paired with the connective drive to learn from and collaborate with both the worlds we live in - tech founders and retailers / brands
• The entrepreneurial ambition to come build with us

Consider this hiring process a microcosm of the role – Carle, Sam and I all started our investing careers as associates, and benefited from strong mentors that helped us develop our core skills.
