HR Technology Manager (Workday)

This HR Technology Manager role leads a global team responsible for system configuration, security, integrations, reporting, and change management. The ideal candidate brings strong Workday expertise, people leadership, and a passion for enabling digital transformation in HR.

In addition to managing core HR Technology responsibilities, this role will serve as a strategic advocate and partner for AI in HR, identifying opportunities to embed automation and AI-powered solutions that improve employee experiences, enhance decision-making, and increase operational efficiency.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing HR Technology team, providing clear goals, feedback, and development plans.

  • Act as the primary business owner of Workday, overseeing modules such as Core HCM, Recruiting, Compensation, Absence, Talent, Reporting, Integrations, etc.

  • Collaborate with HR, IT, Finance, and Legal stakeholders to translate business needs into system and process solutions.

  • Drive system optimization, data integrity, and configuration enhancements to support scalability and efficiency.

  • Manage Workday releases and the system roadmap, coordinating testing, change management, and communication efforts.

  • Enforce strong governance around Workday security roles, system access, and compliance with global data protection requirements.

  • Serve as HR’s strategic AI partner, exploring and championing AI tools and automation opportunities within Workday and beyond.

  • Identify and implement AI/ML use cases to support workforce planning, reporting, onboarding, service delivery, and talent insights.

  • Partner with the HR leadership team to build digital fluency and system adoption across the organization.

  • Manage vendor relationships and external consultants to ensure delivery excellence and innovation alignment.

What you likely bring

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in HR systems, with 4+ years focused on Workday HCM.

  • 2+ years of people leadership or team lead experience in a systems-focused function.

  • Hands-on expertise in multiple Workday modules and system administration responsibilities.

  • Proven ability to lead Workday enhancements and drive cross-functional collaboration.

  • Experience working with or implementing AI-enabled solutions in HR is highly preferred.

  • Workday certifications preferred.
