System Design Architect, Principal

What you will do:
- Work with development teams to define and implement standardization and patterns for Cloud software applications.
- Develop and maintain a cloud architecture library that includes reference architectures, design patterns, and reusable components.
- Provide guidance and support to development teams on cloud best practices.
- Review and approve cloud architecture designs.
- Participate in technical design reviews.
- Stay up to date on the latest Cloud technologies and trends to incorporate into our products
- Design and implement cloud architectures.
- Support Automation for cloud operations.
- Participates in customer meetings to reviews solution estimations and feasibility assesments.
- Recommends assesment programs and improvements in software devlopment methods.
- Ensure security and compliance of cloud environments.
- Scale and optimize cloud environments for performance and cost.
- Integrate cloud services with on-premises systems.
- Manage cloud costs.

What you will need to succeed
- 10+ year’s experience with Application design and development.
- 5+ years of experience with Azure, AWS or GCP
- Strong understanding of Azure software applications, including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
- Strong knowledge of C#, SQL Server, and Azure elasticity, auto-failover, and serverless capabilities
- Knowledge in IaC technologies like Terraform, Pulumi, arc, bicep, etc…
- Experience with cloud standardization and patterns
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD practices and cloud automation
- Experience with cloud security and compliance
- Experience with cloud scalability, monitoring, and performance
- Experience with managing cloud costs
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Desired Skills:
- Experience with other cloud platforms, such as AWS and GCP
- Azure certifications, such as AZ-305 (Azure Solutions Architect Expert) and/or AWS Certified Solutions Architect
Additional Notes: The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate their experience with cloud standardization and patterns by providing examples of times when they have successfully implemented them in a real-world environment. They will also be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
