PSL301 - Sessional Lecturer (Summer 2026)
The Department of Physiology, University of Toronto (St. George campus) is recruiting a Sessional Lecturer to teach PSL301H1 (Human Physiology II) during the 2026 Summer Session. The course will run from July to August 2026, inclusive of the term tests and examinations.
Course Code and Title: PSL301H1 – Human Physiology II
Course Description: Second half of a 2-course survey of human physiology; encompasses the cardiovascular, renal, blood/immune, respiratory, and GI systems.
Estimated Course Enrolment: 300
Estimated TA Support: 3
Sessional Dates of Appointment: July to August 2026
Salary: In accordance with the CUPE 3902 Unit 3 Collective Agreement, the rate of pay for teaching in this course will be $2,456, inclusive of vacation pay (prorated at 25%).
Qualifications: PhD in physiology or related discipline and Quercus experience are required. Lecturing experience in cardiovascular physiology, teaching large classes, and previous teaching in PSL300/301H are assets.
Description of Duties: Delivering 8 X 50 min pre-recorded lectures (online lectures are already recorded; there is no need to re-record) on cardiovascular physiology; delivering online help sessions; creating term test questions, final exam questions, make-up tests and make-up final exam questions; and interacting with the Course Director or the Department of Physiology Undergraduate Coordinator.
