As Senior Talent Management Advisor, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive recruitment strategies to attract top talent across a diverse range of roles in the Temerty Faculty of Medicine and the Dalla Lana School of Public Health. Your exceptional customer service skills will be crucial in navigating the demands of a fast-moving client portfolio with agility and focus, all while delivering a seamless, high-quality candidate experience. Harnessing your strong planning and organizational skills, you will also play an instrumental role in the design and delivery of professional development programming, events and resources aimed at supporting our administrative staff. Your unwavering commitment to the University’s mission of connecting top talent with meaningful career opportunities, combined with your superior relationship-building skills, will empower you to forge collaborative partnerships with prospective applicants, hiring managers and HR colleagues.
Essential Qualifications
- University degree with a specialization in Human Resources or an equivalent acceptable combination of education and experience
- Three years’ experience managing full-cycle recruitment and experience implementing onboarding and training and development programs
- Demonstrated success in sourcing top talent, including engaging passive candidates
- Proven ability to craft inclusive, compelling and concise job postings along with well-structured, effective interview questions
- A proven record of accomplishment in developing and managing professional relationships at all levels required
- Advanced proficiency in M365, applicant tracking systems and LinkedIn
- IT savvy, including a facility for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with databases and web-based applications
- Professional and polished presenter, with exceptional oral, written communication and active listening skills
- Strong attention to detail, organizational and project management skills and the ability to deliver high quality work while managing competing deadlines
- Strong relationship management and networking skills
- Highly creative, self-directed and a motivated team player
- Must have an excellent client service orientation and demonstrate initiative, diplomacy and discretion
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both in a consultative team environment and independently
- Ability to interact with senior managers and academic administrators in a manner that generates their attention and respect, facilitates cooperation and achieves consensus
- Ability to quickly grasp requirements of collective agreements and recruitment policies and practices of the University of Toronto; highly skilled at providing value-added strategic advice aligned with employment legislation and internal policies and procedures
- Ability to manage competing demands, accept feedback, and be adaptable and flexible
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
- Proven commitment to equity, diversity and inclusivity
