Onboarding at D2X

D2X is experiencing significant commercial traction, and with that comes the exciting challenge of scaling our client onboarding process. This is a unique opportunity to build and own the onboarding function from the ground up. You will step in as the dedicated owner to solve challenges, bringing project management discipline, clear communication, and process improvement. You will be empowered to design, implement, and run a best-in-class onboarding framework that directly strengthens our client relationships and commercial success.

The Role

As our first dedicated Institutional Onboarding Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in accelerating D2X's growth. You will be the central owner of the client onboarding journey, responsible for transforming it into a seamless, efficient, and transparent experience. This is a strategic role designed to directly impact client time-to-go-live, enhance client satisfaction, and build a scalable foundation for future expansion. You will act as the key project manager and communicator, ensuring clients are guided expertly from sales to go-live.

What you'll do

  • End-to-End Project Management: Own and manage the entire client onboarding lifecycle, from the late pre-onboarding stage through to go-live. Utilise tools like Jira and Confluence to ensure internal visibility, create project plans, and track progress.
  • Client Communication: Act as the primary, dedicated point of contact for institutional clients during the onboarding. Proactively communicate status, manage expectations, and guide them through technical and operational requirements to ensure a best-in-class experience.
  • Internal Coordination: Serve as the central hub between Commercial, Trading Operations, Technology, Risk, and Legal & Compliance teams to ensure smooth, cross-functional execution of onboarding tasks and timelines.
  • Pre-Onboarding Support: With the support of our experts, partner with the Commercial team to educate clients on technical and operational options, validate requirements, and identify potential blockers early in the process to ensure a smooth transition into active onboarding.
  • Process Improvement & Documentation: Continuously challenge and refine the onboarding process. Develop and maintain key documentation, including checklists, project templates, and client-facing Q&As, to build a scalable and repeatable framework.

What you'll bring

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in B2B client onboarding, implementation, or technical project management, preferably within a fast-paced tech environment.
  • Exceptional project and stakeholder management and organisational skills are paramount; you are meticulous, proactive, and know how to drive a project plan forward.
  • Proven ability to act as a primary point of contact for external clients, with outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A high-ownership, client-centric, and problem-solving mindset. You are both assertive and diplomatic, capable of managing dependencies across multiple teams.
  • Familiarity with FinTech, financial markets, trading, APIs, or institutional KYC processes is a strong plus.
  • Expertise with project management and documentation tools like Jira and Confluence is a strong plus.
