Our team and what we'll accomplish together
As the Manager Operations for the Network Engineering and Operations team (NEO), you will oversee the Kamloops region, playing a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the network's operational efficiency and service quality. You will be responsible for operations (ongoing maintenance and support, troubleshooting and problem resolution) and collaborating with other departments to improve service delivery. In this role, you will also facilitate implementation and deployment of new technologies while building strong relationships across teams.
What you'll do

Lead multidisciplined operational teams including Inside/Outside Plant, Network Operations, RF Operations, Power Operations, and Data Centre personnel

Develop and nurture standards, guidelines, and best practices while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement through mentoring, coaching, and team support

Partner and collaborate with cross-functional teams to co-create program objectives, monitor progress together, identify risks, and develop mitigation strategies

Facilitate quarterly partner service audits and prepare executive status reports highlighting milestones, achievements, and learning opportunities

Stay connected with industry trends and property management practices, thoughtfully incorporating relevant advancements into operational frameworks

Flexible travel required for property audits, project acceptance, and team meetings
Qualifications
What you bring

Collaborative leadership experience supporting operational teams and building relationships with service providers

Exceptional coaching and mentoring capabilities focused on nurturing team performance and service excellence

Experience supporting safety training compliance and regulatory requirements
-
Minimum 8 years of experience in the Telecommunications industry with a passion for continuous learning

University degree in Engineering/Engineering Technology or equivalent technical diploma
-
Strong relationship-building skills with ability to work independently while connecting with senior stakeholders and facilitating problem-solving initiatives through to resolution
