Job Description
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive QA Automation Lead to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing robust automation frameworks, mentoring the QA team, and ensuring the quality and reliability of our products.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining a robust automation framework while also driving excellence in manual testing practices. This role requires strong expertise in test case design, documentation, and execution, along with the ability to confidently assess product quality and provide sign-off for releases. As a Lead QA Engineer, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, mentor junior QA engineers, and champion best practices to elevate overall product quality.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
· Lead and mentor a team of QA automation engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement.
· Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
· Define test strategies and drive the adoption of automation best practices across projects.
· Collaborate closely with Product, Development, and DevOps teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage and timely delivery.
· Participate in requirements review, risk analysis, and provide feedback for process improvements.
· Identify, recommend, and implement automation tools and processes to enhance product quality.
· Analyze test results, debug failures, and work with development teams to resolve issues.
· Monitor and report key quality metrics and drive initiatives to improve test coverage and efficiency.
· Ensure effective documentation of test cases, automation code, and test execution results.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
· 8+ years’ experience in software quality assurance, with a significant focus on UI & API automation testing.
· Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, or similar.
· Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as JavaScript, Java or equivalent.
· Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into build processes (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
· Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
· Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, and analytical skills.
· Ability to understand the product and scope
· End to end testing experience
· Proven experience leading and mentoring QA team members.
· Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
· Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into build processes (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
