Overview

This is a hybrid role with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office in Raleigh, NC.

This position plans & supervises maintenance and repair efforts of critical equipment within the Banks

Critical Facilities; Large Admin facilities & Data Centers. Ensures that all electrical, mechanical, fire, and life safety equipment is

fully operational through industry best practices, vendor management, own physical and technical abilities, and oversight of all technical activities. Position serves as an expert resource on data center equipment for peer managers, associates, and third-party vendors. Responds promptly to emergency issues providing positive contact to Senior Leadership while leading remediation efforts in the field with CF Technicians. The role requires project management oversight & support for projects within both Large Admin and Data Center facilities. Enables & ensures the objective success of the Bank’s data centers by maintaining 100% UPTIME and ensuring peak operational efficiency of critical equipment. The best candidate will have a passion for training others and leading by example in all areas of the role. Succession planning and team development must be a top priority to be successful in this position.


Responsibilities

  • Facility Technical Support - Reviews, plans, and performs/supervises all repair and preventive maintenance activities for the Bank’s data center equipment. Supports and Leads project across the Banks large Administrative and Data Centers.
  • Investigates and resolves unusual problems in performing maintenance projects. Reviews work orders to ensure that assignments are completed. Responsible for facilities inspections and reports. Supports data center equipment that must maintain 100% UPTIME.
  • Supervisory Functions – Trains and develops a work force capable of effective, prompt, and professional maintenance and repair functions. Establishes and monitors expectations, including oversight of performance. Makes appropriate changes to maintenance guidelines, procedures, and routines in order to meet objectives. Manages the selection, hiring, training, and assignment of technical staff in addition to management of third party vendors.
  • Coordination - Directs efforts of technical team throughout facilities to maximize efficiency while minimizing operational disruptions. Partners with business units, managers, and other stakeholders on planned and completed work, risks, and impacts. Assigns tasks to technicians based on work requests, and updates appropriately upon resolution.
  • Emergency Response - Responsible for covering, managing, and responding to emergency situations 100% of the time unless on PTO. Establishes communication plans and emergency response and operational procedures. Responsible for being on call in emergency situations and inclement weather.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Specialist in HVAC & Electrical systems. Facilities Management, Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent field of study with critical facilities maintenance management and supervisory experience required. OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Specialist in HVAC & Electrical systems. Facilities Management, Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent field of study with critical facilities maintenance management and supervisory experience required.

Strongly Preferred Area of Experience: Specialist in HVAC & Electrical systems. Facilities Management,

Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent field of study with critical facilities maintenance

management and supervisory experience required.

Preferred Area of Experience: Electrical & Mechanical technical background with having worked in a

Data Center environment and experience leading people of all technical aptitudes,

Preferred Area of Study: Electrical, HVAC & Mechanical technical college certifications, project management

courses.

Preferred Education Level: Detailed Technical college level courses or applicable bachelor's degree.
