Essential Functions
  • Provide front desk coverage during the summer, Monday through Friday during the receptionist’s daily lunch break.
  • Assist with front desk coverage during staff meetings, absences, or other times as needed.
  • Greet and assist visitors, answer phones, and direct inquiries to the appropriate staff.
  • Support the Administrative Operations team with general operational tasks, such as data entry, document organization, and office supply management.
  • Assist administrative assistants with projects and tasks as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as needed to support the smooth operation of the office.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Dependable and punctual, with a professional demeanor.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate discretion.
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Must present a well-mannered, professional image.
  • Must have the ability to identify and determine problems, analyze information, and implement solutions.
  • Must be available to work onsite for up to 20 hours a week. This position is located in the Dick & Sandy Dauch Alumni Center.

Required Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • General knowledge of Purdue University required.
  • Previous customer service experience required.
  • Microsoft Office & basic computer skills required.
  • Preference given to candidates that can be flexible to last minute requests to cover during unexpected absences.
