Overview: We are seeking a switched on Product Manager to ensure our reporting and data management efforts are strategically aligned with our business objectives. This role requires a keen understanding of business priorities, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Stakeholder Management:
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather reporting requirements and validate proposed solutions including User Acceptance Testing of all new and updated management reports.
- Working closely with the Head of Data and Analytics and our vendor partners to identify and resolve issues of strategic importance.
- Preparation of regular updates to the executive team.
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure alignment and understanding.
- Design and implement a formal communication and change management process for data and reporting that supports business understanding.
- Work closely with data team and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and requested solutions
Requirements Gathering and Prioritisation
- Evaluate incoming reporting requests and prioritize based on strategic importance and impact on business goals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to gather requirements and define reporting objectives.
- Work closely with data analysts and reporting teams to ensure data is readily available to produce accurate and timely delivery of reports.
- Develop and maintain a reporting prioritization framework to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Monitor and track reporting timelines, providing regular updates to stakeholders on progress and potential delays.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement to optimize reporting workflows.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits of existing reports to ensure relevance and alignment with business needs.
Continuous Improvement:
- Monitor industry trends and best practices to recommend process improvements and innovative solutions.
- Drive initiatives to streamline workflows, enhance efficiency, and optimize business processes.
Qualifications:
- 5 years + experience in a similar role
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience in data analysis, reporting, or a related field
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into actionable reporting tasks.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of database concepts and data visualization tools preferred but not mandatory(e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and advanced Excel skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Experience in the Finance industry is a plus.
