The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for the full cycle accounting including the month-end close process and external reporting for certain of Oxford’s global management companies. This role is located in our Toronto office and will be responsible for all aspects of the general ledger accounting for the management companies with a significant focus on General and Administrative (G&A) reporting.
As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:
- Responsible for all aspects of general ledger accounting including review of monthly, quarterly, and year-end journal entries and allocations, together with supporting documentation, for Oxford’s management companies and related corporate entities and structures
- Review of monthly bank reconciliations and investigation of reconciling items
- Preparation and/or review of indirect tax filings
- Review of supporting documentation for various corporate payments including intercompany payments
- Monitoring bank balances and preparing cash flow forecasts to ensure sufficient funds to meet operational requirements
- Preparing step memos and other documentation necessary to support contributions and distributions
- Preparation of annual and quarterly financial statements for local regulatory filing purposes
- Supporting the year end financial statement audit process
- Proposing recommendations for process improvements to support efficiency and effectiveness of day-to-day activities
- Assisting with requests from external auditors and other departments such as Property Accounting, Treasury and Tax
- Financial planning and analysis support as required
- Completion of ad hoc projects as required by management
To succeed in this role, you have:
- University degree in conjunction with a CPA, CA/CMA/CGA designation
- Minimum 3 years industry or public accounting experience, real estate management company experience preferred but not required
- High attention to detail and accuracy and strong follow-up skills
- Strong communication / interpersonal skills (both written and verbal) as the position will involve frequent communication
- Experience working in a large environment with a complex organizational structure
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required, and exposure to JD Edwards and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) is considered an asset
- Adaptable to a changing and fast paced corporate environment managing multiple competing deadlines
- Able to embrace steep learning curve with an open attitude towards learning

The expected salary range for this position is $72,000.00 - $108,000.00 per year.
