Senior Manager of Manufacturing Resiliency

Reporting directly to the Director of the MassTech’s Center of Advanced Manufacturing (CAM), the Senior Manager of Manufacturing Resiliency will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of manufacturing in Massachusetts. In this role, the Senior Manager of Manufacturing Resiliency will support the growth, competitiveness, and resiliency of the Commonwealth's manufacturing sector by enabling adoption opportunities of cutting-edge technologies such as AI, fostering collaboration between State and Federal partners, and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance the competitiveness, and resiliency of Manufacturers in the Commonwealth.

Strategic Leadership:

· Understand and translate the needs of manufacturers to help them adopt new digital technologies that will modernize processes, products, operations, and their technology stack to enable continual rapid, customer-driven innovation, and a secure and resilient supply chain.

· Develop a comprehensive manufacturing supply chain resiliency strategy to enhance Massachusetts manufacturers’ future competitiveness and to retain and grow a robust and resilient manufacturing sector.

· Ensure that CAM’s manufacturing resiliency strategy aligns with MassTech’s mission and goals, CAM’s strategy for advanced manufacturing, the Massachusetts Executive Office of Economic Development’s priorities, and the needs of the Commonwealth’s leading manufacturers.

Program Implementation:

· Implement CAM’s manufacturing resilience strategy by designing, launching, and overseeing partnerships, programs, and initiatives.

· Pursue federal funding and other opportunities to support the scale and sustainability of initiatives.

· Define clear objectives, milestones, and metrics to measure the impact of initiatives.

· Partner with the Director of CAM and MassTech leadership to evolve strategies and execution priorities, drive progress, overcome operational obstacles, and regularly report on status.

· Collaborate with internal MassTech support teams such as Communications, Legal, and Finance.

Technology Adoption and Integration:

· Cultivate strategic partnerships with technology providers, research institutions, and industry stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and champion emerging technologies such as AI and IoT that are best positioned to ensure the future competitiveness and resiliency of Massachusetts’ SMEs, OEMs, and their supply chains.

· Foster joint initiatives to help leading Massachusetts’ leading manufacturers of all sizes access, assess, adopt, and integrate these technologies.

Partnership Development:

· Advance CAM’s strategic partnerships in pursuit of opportunities and initiatives that enable SMEs and OEMS access to funding, transformative emerging technologies, and technology implementation support.

· Leverage existing stakeholder relationships and MassTech’s external-facing divisions to accelerate or amplify ecosystems engagement, program design, and/or impact.

Thought Leadership:

· Serve as a thought leader and advocate for manufacturing innovation and resilience, AI for manufacturing, and the Massachusetts manufacturing sector.

· Promote MassTech and the Center for Advanced Manufacturing’s manufacturing innovation and resiliency strategy by attending in-person industry conferences, events, speaking engagements, and forums.
