Position Description
You will be responsible for designing and executing a strategic event program that elevates the firm’s brand, deepens relationships across our network, and supports key business goals. Working cross-functionally with teams across platform, investing, investor relations, this role will oversee intimate gatherings to large-scale summits—ensuring each is high-impact and seamless.
This individual will lead the end-to-end planning and execution of our flagship events, including our Annual CEO Summit and sector-specific Fast Growth Summits in the U.S. and Europe. They’ll also manage a range of initiatives such as portfolio leadership dinners, thematic networking events, and industry conference activations.
This role will also play a key part in content and shaping Left Lane’s voice across channels. Responsibilities include social campaigns, internal and external newsletters, founder guides, and other creative content pieces. Events and content is a flywheel.
The ideal candidate is resourceful and thrives on creating meaningful, polished experiences that foster strong connections between Left Lane and its community. Meticulous attention to detail, excellent project management skills, and a proactive, collaborative mindset are essential.
This role will report to the SVP of Platform and sit in either our New York or London office.
Core Responsibilities
- Plan and execute high-impact events across the U.S. and Europe, including flagship Summits, founder dinners, virtual roundtables, and more.
- Own end-to-end logistics: timelines, vendor and venue management, invitations and email campaigns, run-of-show or agenda development, and post-event follow-up
- Recruit and collaborate closely speakers to deliver high-quality event experiences
- Create, draft, and edit content across formats, including social media campaigns and internal and external newsletters
- Partner with the Platform/Accelerate team to develop and launch events around content such as guides or interviews with the CEOs or advisors
- Own event measurement and reporting, post-event analysis, budget analysis, participant feedback and incorporating lessons learned into future events
- Support amplification of portfolio wins, launches, and key milestones across Left Lane channels
Role Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in event planning, content, or similar with experience or interest in VC/tech
- Proven track record of leading high-quality branded experiences for audiences of all sizes with a focus on unique, high-touch experiences for executives preferred
- Track record of executing a variety of least 15 events annually
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with competing deadlines
- Experience managing external event agencies and vendors
- Experience negotiating and tracking expenses effectively
