Rob Sand for Iowa is looking for bright, motivated individuals to join our Summer 2025 Internship Program! This internship presents an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in exploring fundraising research and the inner workings of a statewide campaign organization.

The program will run from June 2 through August 16, 2025. Interns will work a hybrid schedule, completing most work asynchronously with one required bi-weekly team check-in. We anticipate a minimum commitment of 10–15 hours per week.

This is a paid opportunity ($15/hour, capped at 15 hours per week). If approved by your college or university, the internship can also be done for academic credit. Priority will be given to Iowa-based applicants and those with ties to Iowa, but we welcome anyone passionate about helping to flip this seat in 2026.

Responsibilities

Daily work with the finance team consists of:

• Donor research
• Data management
• Events coordination
• Donor acknowledgements
• Other administrative tasks as needed
  • Tracking news and events relevant to the race
  • Taking on additional projects over time based on interest and capacity

Qualifications

• Strong research skills
• Proficiency with Google Sheets, as this role will be heavily focused on data management
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
• Ability to handle confidential matters and information
• Attention to detail and willingness to take initiative
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Interest in learning more about campaign finance, operations, and compliance
• Commitment to working through the full program (June 2–August 16, 2025)
  • Interns are entitled to holidays, weekends, and vacations as long as they communicate their weekly hours with their supervisors (Connor and Shelby)
