About The Role
As a Staff Technical Program Manager (TPM) on the Platform Engineering team, you will lead company-critical technical programs that span infrastructure, developer enablement, compliance, security and internal tooling. This is a high-impact role designed for a technical operator with deep experience driving large-scale initiatives and influencing product and engineering direction.
You will serve as a cross-functional integrator and systems thinker—aligning technical execution with business goals, coordinating delivery across teams, and building the program infrastructure that allows Invisible to scale without breaking.
This is not a traditional project manager role. Staff TPMs at Invisible are empowered to own business-critical outcomes, navigate ambiguity, and drive clarity and execution at all levels of the organization.
What You’ll Do
- Program Ownership: Lead cross-functional technical initiatives across Platform, Product, Forward Deployed, Security, and internal product tooling. Own execution from scoping through launch and post-release optimization.
- Strategic Alignment: Translate high-level business goals into technical delivery plans. Prioritize ruthlessly, manage interdependencies, and escalate risks before they become blockers.
- Cross-Team Coordination: Partner with Engineers, Product Managers, Delivery Operations, Growth and Leadership to break down complex work across multiple teams, drive alignment, and ensure accountability.
- Systems & Process Design: Build scalable, repeatable frameworks for planning, quality reviews, documentation / knowledge management, incident management, and change communication.
- Technology Governance: Drive the evaluation, selection, and rollout of new tools and platforms introduced into the Tech Radar, ensuring alignment with engineering standards and operational readiness.
- Communication & Influence: Own communication and drive decision making through partnership with senior leaders and cross-org stakeholders. Provide clear status reporting, risk narratives, and impact summaries.
- Lifecycle & Operational Maturity: Ensure all technical launches meet internal standards, SLA/SLO expectations, and regulatory or compliance requirements. Own operational readiness end-to-end.
What We Need
- 5+ years of experience in technical program management or engineering leadership roles
- Proven success leading complex programs across infrastructure, platform engineering, or developer tooling domains
- Strong technical acumen - you can meaningfully engage in architecture and systems conversations
- Advanced Jira expertise - you can build and manage workflows, automation, reporting, and cross-team configurations with confidence
- Demonstrated ability to create structure from ambiguity, manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, and scale process intentionally
- Excellent communication skills and executive presence; you’re skilled at translating technical complexity for non-technical stakeholders
