About the Role
We’re looking for a Type A, street-smart operator who thrives on the ground—meeting owners, walking blocks, building relationships, and closing deals with local businesses. You’ll be our boots-on-the-ground growth engine, responsible for bringing Greeter into key storefronts across NYC, and helping us shape our go-to-market playbook.
About Greeter
Greeter is the automated marketing sidekick for physical storefronts. We help small businesses drive foot traffic through AI-powered daily messaging, delivered on digital screens in their windows. Imagine having a smart marketer who updates the signage every morning with fresh promotions based on your sales data, neighborhood events, and weather—without lifting a finger.
Backed by Human Ventures, we’re rapidly deploying in NYC and scaling from our first pilots to the next 50,000 storefronts.
What You'll Do
- Walk and win: Visit local businesses daily (retail, fitness, cafés, etc.) and explain Greeter's value in 30 seconds or less.
- Pitch the vision: Show owners how Greeter drives real revenue—by increasing foot traffic with timely, personalized signage.
- Feed the product team: Report customer feedback, pain points, and use cases directly to the team to inform product development.
Refine the playbook: Document learnings to help us scale nationally.
What We're Looking For
- Hustle mentality: You have grit, speed, and a competitive edge—think Red Bull street teams meets SMB sales.
- Strong local intuition: You know New York. You understand storefront culture and can talk to any business owner.
- Clear communicator: You can sell a simple value prop confidently and handle objections without skipping a beat.
- Mission-driven: You care about helping local businesses thrive and love being part of an early-stage rocket ship.
Execution over ego: You’re scrappy, hands-on, and learn fast. No job is too small.
Bonus Points
- Experience with SMB sales, canvassing, or merchant acquisition (e.g. Toast, Square, Smartify, Red Bull street teams)
- Experience in high-velocity, physical network rollouts
- Interest in hardware, digital signage, or local marketing
- Fluent in multiple languages to engage diverse storefront communities
