Position Overview:

Apollo Global Management is seeking a high-performing Portfolio Analyst to join the Global Corporate Credit team, which manages over $50 billion in AUM across leveraged loans, high yield bonds, private credit and hybrid credit products globally.

This individual will play a highly visible and impactful role providing direct support to senior Portfolio Managers across Apollo’s Opportunistic Credit platform. The position offers broad exposure across investment strategies and the full Apollo ecosystem, with significant responsibility in portfolio construction, analytics, reporting, transaction coordination, and cross-functional collaboration.

Primary Responsibilities:

Portfolio Analytics & Optimization

  • Conduct detailed, ad-hoc portfolio analysis including screenings, performance attribution, portfolio optimization, and cash management.
  • Assist in top-down portfolio construction and optimization across risk management, liquidity management, and strategic allocation decisions.
  • Proactively screen for investment opportunities across strategies in partnership with Portfolio Managers and analysts.

Reporting & Investor Communication

  • Produce regular internal and external portfolio reporting to optimize investment visibility and support senior leadership decision-making.
  • Coordinate and spearhead investor communication and reporting requests.
  • Track investment decisions and maintain accurate portfolio documentation.

Transaction Execution & Cross-Platform Coordination

  • Quarterback large private credit transactions and complex investment opportunities across the Apollo ecosystem.
  • Liaise across Portfolio Managers, Client & Product Solutions, Syndication, Trading, and back-office teams to drive seamless execution.
  • Coordinate with the Trading Desk on day-to-day investment opportunities and portfolio adjustments.

Fund Management & Operational Leadership

  • Lead day-to-day fund management processes, partnering with Legal, Tax, Compliance, Operations, Finance, and Treasury.
  • Identify, implement, and lead process improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Drive global standardization of internal portfolio management procedures and workflows.

Investment Committee & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Attend Investment Committee meetings and track key decisions and follow-ups.
  • Act as a liaison between Hybrid and Global Corporate Credit analysts, senior Portfolio Managers, and other teams across Apollo

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from an undergraduate institution with a strong record of academic achievement.
  • 3–5 years of experience in capital markets within a global investment bank, or in an analytical or quantitative role related to portfolio management at a financial services firm.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and technical aptitude with attention to detail.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with SQL, Bloomberg, Blackmountain Everest, Sungard VPM, and Business Intelligence tools preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and collaborate effectively with senior members of the Credit business and across the Firm.
  • Resourceful self-starter who thrives both independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to excel in a rigorous, fast-paced environment.

Pay Range

$175,000 - $200,000

The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed here.
