Position Overview
We are seeking a highly driven individual to join a fast-paced environment as a member of Apollo’s Global Wealth Management APAC team in our Australia office. This newly created role will ideally suit a high performing salesperson looking to support our global wealth management marketing and sales efforts in Australia, and to contribute to strategic business priorities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support efforts in building the GWM business in Australia working in close partnership with GWM APAC team, the APAC Capital Formation teams the senior leadership team in Asia.
- Work in close coordination and contribute to the GWM sales strategy to ensure sufficient investor outreach and the strategic fundraise objectives for each fund/strategy are being met.
- Develop and manage relationships with existing and new investors, business partners, including global/regional/local banks and independent wealth groups, platforms, and rating agencies in Australia.
- Working as part of the GWM APAC team for the entire fund-raising cycle and serving wealth clients and distribution partners: servicing existing investors and partners, onboarding new distributors and driving the sales and distribution activities and providing first class after sale service.
- Becoming expert in private markets and Apollo’s investment solutions across different asset classes and fund structures, play a key role in planning and organizing various investor marketing outreach activities including roadshows, due diligence sessions, client events and certain other events, in close coordination with the global Events & Brand Marketing team.
- Involved in industry mapping out, peer analysis and strategic planning.
Qualifications & Experience
- Strong knowledge of the Australian retail distribution landscape with a good track record of success raising assets from HNW investors and possess a results-oriented and profit-driven mentality.
- Sound understanding of alternatives and the ability to advise investors on their investment needs, building a strong relationship of trust over time.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with colleagues, partners and clients to operate within the One-Apollo mindset – where cooperation and coordination is vital to success.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including preparation and delivery of presentations.
- Strong team player
- At least 5-8 years’ experience in a client relationship management role for private wealth/intermediary sales channel in Australia
- Appropriate degree in business/accounting/ finance.
- Advanced Excel, PowerPoint.
