About the Role
The Development Operations Marketing Associate is responsible for executing marketing and communications needs for the promotion of FIDF’s projects, programs, missions, and other services. This position is responsible for executing and supporting the research, writing, and production of fundraising collateral, donor stewardship, and gratitude materials with the goal of donor cultivation and retention. These include but are not limited to brochures, fact sheets, proposals, stewardship reports, annual reports, missions marketing, and other donor communications.
Essential Job Duties:
- Serve as a point person for marketing and communications needs for FIDF’s development operations, fundraising, missions, and gratitude initiatives, including but not limited to brochures, fact sheets, proposals, reports, recognition tools, and other marketing collateral.
- Track and organize the needs for development operations’ marketing requests.
- Research, compile, and organize information on new or existing fundraising projects and programs.
- Write for FIDF’s donor audiences in a clear and compelling manner.
- Maintain consistency and voice using branding and policy guidelines.
- Circulate, edit, and revise copy according to feedback.
- Execute marketing materials to thank our donors.
- Contribute to donor gratitude projects, such as custom albums—collaborating with internal partners, collecting photos and other content, and guiding the production process from start to finish.
- Collaborate with creative director or graphic designers to implement content into design or utilize templates to lay out materials on your own.
- Proofread and edit donor communications and other materials.
- Input and regularly update projects in project management system, track progress, timelines, and deadlines.
- Project manage and traffic tasks through workflow processes.
- Assist with teammates’ projects when they are out.
- Perform other duties as requested.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, broader Humanities, or Liberal Arts; or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of an advanced degree.
Skills and/or Experience Required:
- 2+ years of professional experience in marketing, communications, or related field.
- Exemplary written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong research skills.
- Ability to quickly execute communications on short notice.
- Strong project management skills with an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Highly organized, detailed-oriented, and self-motivated.
- Energetic, proactive, and flexible.
- Strong interpersonal skills and highly pleasant demeanor.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Knack for building and maintaining cross-departmental relationships.
- Tech savvy with strong aptitude to quickly learn new applications.
- Background in non-profit organizations with a familiarity with donor relations is preferred.
- Familiarity with Israel is preferred.
- Knowledge of the IDF is helpful but not required.
- Computer skills: Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, and Canva; knowledge of Adobe InDesign is helpful but not required.

Today, FIDF spans 24 chapters across the United States, proudly offering a variety of innovative programs that empower Israel’s soldiers with opportunities, while reinforcing the vital bond between the communities in the United States, the soldiers of the IDF, and the State of Israel.
